Green 759
The Green 759 has a MMC1 motherboard, but it came in two configurations. - only one involved the use of a MMC1 CPU module.
The first configuration has the expected Intel MMC1 Pentium II or Celeron module and I believe that any MMC1 module can be used in these laptops - including the 466 MHz Celeron. If anyone has a Green 759 running a 466 MHz module please Emil me.
The second configuration had a special conversion board installed in place of the MMC1 module that converts the Green 759 into a Socket Seven CPU laptop. This allows the use of a AMD K6-2 CPU in lieu of the Intel CPU modules. I believe that the fastest speed for this configuration is six times the motherboard bus speed of 66 MHz. Or 400 MHz for the CPU.
I do not (at this time) know if the AMD k6-2+ CPU operates in the Green 759.
Note: There are two BIOS files, one for each CPU configuration and it is important the correct BIOS be used if you ever flash the BIOS to a later version or change CPU configurations from MMC1 to AMD or the other way around.
I don't suggest that you ever update a BIOS unless there are problems that are known to be fixed with a later version. I do not know if any reason that a Green 759 BIOS needs to be updated.
There were optional Firewire and modem modules for the Green 759 plus a MPEG decoder card. I do not have these in stock at present.
