Our Products

Batteries will be replaced under warranty, but are not returnable for any other reason. Energy Plus batteries come with a one year warranty from Fedco Electronics and any warranty issues will be handled directly by Fedco Electronics.

Our OEM batteries come with 30 to 90 warranties depending upon the OEM.

Any used battery offered for sale will will charge to full storage charge and are warranted only not to be otherwise damaged at time of shippment.

Incorrectly ordered batteries can not be returned - so please e-mail if you have a question before you order.

Due to the nature of what we sell we can't maintain a fixed supply on many items, so don't wait to order if you see something you really need. All items are offered on a first come - first served basis.

Used items offered for sale are listed as we can acquire them and they may be from surplus OEM service stock or repaired and refurbished item if new stock is not available.

Items listed as being in stock should normally ship within three to five (5) working days of receipt of payment. (After funds clear if payment is via check) If an item can't be shipped within that time period we will attempt to contact you via e-mail and determine if you wish a refund. Most items are stored in our warehouse and so are not available to walk-in customers.

We have a one person shipping department, as well as order department, as well as repair department, MIS department, postal mail run person etc. - so please do be understanding in that I'm always seemingly doing something a day late.

We do not take credit cards except via our online shopping cart which is provided by Paypal. We do take money orders and checks if you do not wish to order online via Paypal. Yes, personal checks need to clear and this does slow down delivery. All payments must be in US dollars. International MoneyGrams are also accepted, but the cost to send money using this method may be quite high.

I can't ship to any address other than the address listed by Paypal as the primary address for that Paypal account. This is due to the amount of fraud that has been occurring with unauthorized credit card orders. Sorry, but I tried to be fair, but now I need to remain in business. If you need a drop shipment - it must be paid with a check or a money order.

Warranty

30 Day Warranty against defects in workmanship with the exception of Energy Plus batteries which are covered under their own one year warranty. Batteries are not returnable. They need to be sent to Fedco Electronics for replacement under their Energy Plus warranty.

Our warranty does not cover suitability of purpose or fitness for a particular purpose. Our warranty does not cover modifications or damage, of any sort, done by the purchaser or purchaser's agent(s). This warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following categories: Any software programs, whether pre-loaded with equipment, installed subsequent or otherwise, external devices, accessories or parts added to a product after shipped from or delivered by Orphaned Laptops, LLC - a California company.

Our warranty does not cover any losses of any sort due to product failure or misuse.

Our warranty does not cover shipping damage. Shipping damage should be reported to the shipping company for recovery of funds as provided under the shipper's own insurance. Orphaned Laptops Support Group will ship with insurance when insurance is available to the customer's location. Some packages may not be insured if common carriers do not offer insurance to foreign locations. If insurance is required then special arrangements, prior to ordering, must be arranged.

Motherboards and other electronic circuit boards that are subject to static damage and/or installation damage beyond our control are not cover under any warranty other than that they were tested as working before they left our shipping department. If installed by us then the 30 day warranty does apply to any circuit board supplied by us.

Special order motherboards and/or other circuit boards are only covered under warranty, if any, offered by the manufacturer of said board and are otherwise not covered by any warranty from Orphaned Laptops Support Group.

Returned Products must in as-new or as-shipped condition, in their original packaging with all appropriate product documentation included in the original package, manuals, diskettes, power cables, and other items included with a product.

All returns must be shipped by you via a traceable carrier - US Post Office with Confirmation #, UPS, FedEx, Airborne Express, etc.) prepaid, and insured for your safety (especially if valued over US $100) or please accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment.

A 30% restocking fee will be applied to all non-defective products with the exception of Energy Plus batteries which can not be returned. Energy Plus batteries will only be covered under their replacement warranty and refunds will not be offered for any reason. We reserve the right to not offer refunds for motherboards and other easy to damage items. We reserve the right to not offer refunds for incorrectly special ordered items. All items returned without approval will be returned C.O.D. to the sender. If you are claiming a refund for a part, we cannot refund the original shipping charges.

All purchases will be covered by these terms, whether or not they have been read by the purchaser.
