Chicony, an ODM, manufactured laptops for many years and they supplied these machines to a vast number of value added resellers (VAR's) until sometime in late 2000 or early 2001. Since then they've stopped all direct support for all of their models. They've removed references to laptops on their USA website. Of note, it should be pointed out that Chicony is still in business and but is only making computer keyboards.

I did discovered an European Chicony website, after the USA website pulled all laptop material, that had data on the Pentium laptops models posted. The site had the model specifications - but no drivers or BIOS files.

Recently (2005) we purchased the last of the Chicony laptop parts inventory, alas but not until after the plastic case pieces were discarded. We will try to support the Chicony laptop line until parts are no longer available.

At this time I can reflash BIOS chips for many Chicony laptops. I do this only on an chip exchange basis. Please e-mail me for details.
