Micron
Micron, Micron PC, or MPC as they call themselves today, was at one time part of the Micron Electronics Corporation, the company that makes memory chips. However, the laptop business was spun off as a separate company a few years ago and the laptop company has been moving away from using the "Micron" name. They are now "MPC", however I will continue to use Micron for laptops sold by this company as that's the name found on the main case label for many of the laptops.
Their support website can be found at: http://support.mpccorp.com/index.html (Cut-n-paste to your browser)
In general, Micron replacement parts are hard to find in new condition due to MPC's repair policy of not selling replacement parts to anyone other than their own international distributors.
You can find a list of non-warranty repair charges on their website, but often you will find that even a minor item will result in a large repair charge. For example, a broken LCD lid latch (or hook) requires that the complete LCD lid assembly be replaced - to the tune of many hundreds of dollars.
The good news is that some Micron laptops do use parts that can be obtained from other resellers of the Green line of laptops or Chicony which are often nearly same laptops. But this means that I only can only offer support for just a few of the many Micron models. The newer models were mostly produced by Samsung and I don't have any source for parts directly from Samsung or via Micron (MPC). However, I can still supply floppy, CD-ROM and DVD drives for these models in many cases.
Or I can supply used parts from laptops that I purchase and break down for a source for preplacement parts. However, used parts are often not in like new condition and I struggle to provide serviceable parts in usable condition.
Older early Pentium models are not supported at this time due to a lack of spare parts and the low value of these laptops.
