Mitac BIOS Recovery
Mitac Laptop BIOS Failure Recovery Procedures
Notice: Do NOT flash a Mitac BIOS unless you are willing to send in your laptop plus $150.00 (plus S&H) for repairs. Many Mitac laptops have their BIOS chips soldered directly to the motherboard and are not plugged into a socket. So any mistake in programing the BIOS chip will result in a major problem for you.
I can not just burn a new chip and have you swap it with your old BIOS.

Q: Recover system BIOS When you upgrade wrong or fail system BIOS?
A: When you fail in the process of flashing the bios, for example you fogot to place the parameter 'ub' then next time you boot the system you get no display. Please make a PIO connector which we call this loop back connector 'boot block'.
The method of making the boot block and fixing this symptom is as below steps:
1). Make a boot block jumping a wire to short 5-15 / 6-13 / 7-12 / 8-10 / 9-11
2). Prepare a bootable diskette (without any memory management driver on config.sys & autoexec.bat)and copy miflash program and BIOS file (named BIOS.ROM) into the diskette.
3). insert diskette in FDD and connect a "Boot Block" on PIO port
4).Power on system and then system will access FDD to execute miflash BIOS back to original version
Remark: This recover procedural only support below product of MiTAC
